Frontier Squares 50's Dance
April 18, 2009
Even though we didn’t get to do it up right like we did last year the 50’s dance was a lot of fun. The parking lot of the church was flooded until nearly dance time so no one could get to the church to decorate or prepare food. The caller, Deborah Carroll Jones and her husband drove down from Arlington and ran into flooding on the Gulf freeway, so they were late. But we finally prepared the food, gave up on decorations, and had a really good time dancing. We had hot dogs and chips, old fashioned sodas, deserts, root beer floats, cokes in cute little bottles and all flavors of milk shakes. So it all turned out great. |
